Bring a hat, bottle of water, and umbrella if it's raining
You are also invited to join Emmanuel Community for our Easter Vigil Eucharist:

St Brigid's Church, 78 Musgrave Rd, Red Hill. All welcome.
Mass is followed by supper, please bring a plate to share and an Easter Egg to exchange.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS have been part of Catholic tradition for 2000 years as a time, particularly in preparation for Easter, when we stop to reflect upon Jesus' Passion: from his sentence to death, through his suffering and crucifixion, to his burial in the tomb. The events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday are the single most important events in the history of salvation of all humanity.
EYO has been holding the STATIONS OF THE CROSS at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens since 2001. We carry a large 2 metre cross through the pathways of the gardens, stopping at different times to reflect upon the different 'stations' of Jesus's walk to Calvary. Every year, the stations are organised and run by young people.
As we walk through these Stations of the Cross, we will join with millions of Catholics and other Christians across the world who will be following these Stations in their own parish or group. There will be people who will be walking in Jerusalem, along the path that Jesus himself may have walked, stumbled, been beaten, shed blood.
